Remodel Design
Full-service residential remodeling and renovation design connects architectural planning, interiors, sustainable systems, and construction guidance for single-family homes.
Planning a whole home remodel involves more than selecting finishes. The 30% rule can influence how homeowners think about project scope, design decisions, permitting, and construction coordination. Ortiz Mexia Projects, Inc. helps clients evaluate comprehensive residential remodels through a design-led process that connects architecture, interiors, sustainability, technology, and project guidance from concept through completion.

The phrase “30% rule” can refer to a project-planning guideline used to think about the relationship between renovation scope and the existing home. Its meaning can vary by context, so it should not replace project-specific architectural, permitting, or construction advice. A design professional can help clarify how the rule relates to the property, proposed work, local requirements, and the homeowner’s goals.
