There is no single average cost that applies to every California renovation. The total varies with the home’s existing condition, project scope, design complexity, permitting needs, selected finishes, and construction requirements. A design-led firm can help define the program, develop plans, coordinate approvals, and clarify the work involved before homeowners compare contractor proposals.
