Frequently Asked Questions

What is the 30% rule in remodeling?

The 30% rule is commonly used as a planning guideline suggesting that a remodeling budget may be influenced substantially by the project scope, existing conditions, design choices, permitting needs, and construction requirements. It is not a universal pricing formula or a substitute for project-specific evaluation. A design professional can help clarify priorities, constraints, and the relationship between design decisions and overall project planning.
