An architect can be valuable when a renovation involves structural or spatial changes, additions, permitting, multiple consultants, detailed interiors, or substantial contractor coordination. Beyond drawing plans, an architect can help clarify goals, develop a cohesive design, navigate approvals, and protect design intent during construction. The value depends on your project's complexity, priorities, and the level of guidance you want.
