Start by reviewing an architect’s relevant residential experience, design approach, communication style, and ability to support permitting and construction. Ask how they coordinate consultants and contractors, how they present design ideas, and whether their work reflects your goals. For Roaring Fork Valley projects, also confirm that the practice serves your community and understands the project’s local approval context.
