Interior design focuses on planning and shaping the look, function, atmosphere, furnishings, cabinetry, and finishes of an interior. Renovation involves changing, repairing, or upgrading an existing building or space, often requiring architectural design, permits, contractor coordination, and construction oversight. The two services can overlap, especially when a design practice manages both the interior vision and the physical remodeling work.
