Born and raised in Colombia, Santiago moved to Providence, Rhode Island, to pursue his passion for design, graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1999 with degrees in Architecture and Fine Arts. After relocating to Los Angeles, he honed his craft at small architecture firms specializing in high-end custom residences and boutique commercial spaces before founding his own practice in 2006. Santiago is an Associate Member of The American Institute of Architects and brings a timeless, elegant sensibility to every project, from custom furniture and built-ins to full-scale residential construction. His work has been featured in Interior Design Magazine and the Los Angeles Times, reflecting his commitment to thoughtful, well-crafted design.
The cost of a custom-made kitchen varies according to the project scope, architectural changes, cabinetry requirements, furniture and built-ins, selected systems, and construction coordination. Ortiz Mexia Projects, Inc. does not publish standard pricing because each design is tailored. A consultation can clarify the desired level of customization and how the kitchen fits within a remodel, addition, or broader residential project.
